Professional Sewer Line Repair

Your sewer line is the main exit point for everything that leaves your home’s plumbing system. Every sink, shower, toilet, and appliance connects to it. When that line fails, the symptoms show up quickly: slow drains, recurring backups, foul odors, or water pooling where it shouldn’t.

Sewer line repair addresses structural problems within that main line. Unlike drain cleaning, which removes buildup inside an otherwise sound pipe, sewer repair corrects physical damage that prevents the system from functioning properly.

At WireNut Home Services, sewer line repair begins with accurate diagnosis and ends with a permanent solution designed to restore safe, reliable drainage.

What Causes Sewer Line Damage

Sewer lines are built to last, but they are not immune to wear and shifting conditions. Over time, several issues can compromise the integrity of the pipe.

Common causes include:

  • Tree root intrusion through small joints or cracks

  • Ground movement that shifts or separates pipe sections

  • Corrosion in older metal piping

  • Collapsed or crushed sections due to soil pressure

  • Improper original installation

When the pipe is physically damaged, no amount of cleaning will solve the issue. The structure itself must be repaired or replaced in the affected area.

How WireNut Diagnoses Sewer Line Damage

Before any excavation is considered, we perform a camera inspection. A specialized waterproof camera is inserted into the sewer line, allowing us to see the interior condition in real time.

This process reveals whether the pipe has:

  • Cracks or fractures

  • Offset or separated joints

  • Root penetration

  • Severe corrosion

  • Collapsed sections

The camera also identifies the exact location and depth of the failure. That information determines whether the repair will be localized or more extensive.

Diagnosis comes first. Repair comes second.

The Sewer Line Repair Process

Once the damage is confirmed, we outline the repair plan clearly and directly.

If the issue is confined to a single area, we focus on that section. Excavation is limited to the necessary access point, and the damaged portion of pipe is removed and replaced with new, properly connected piping. The repaired line is then tested to ensure full, unobstructed flow.

When damage is more widespread, we explain whether partial replacement or full line replacement is the better long-term solution. The recommendation is based on structural integrity, not on upselling additional work.

Throughout the process, the objective remains the same: restore the system so wastewater exits the home safely and consistently without recurring failure.

Repair vs. Replacement: Making the Right Call

Not every sewer problem requires complete replacement. In fact, many repairs are isolated to one failing section while the remaining pipe remains sound.

Replacement becomes necessary when deterioration affects large portions of the line, when multiple failures are present, or when older materials have reached the end of their functional life. In those situations, repairing one segment at a time would only delay the inevitable.

A camera inspection provides the clarity needed to make that decision responsibly.

Why Timely Sewer Line Repair Matters

Delaying sewer repair increases risk. Continued leakage can erode soil beneath slabs or driveways. Repeated backups can damage flooring and drywall. Moisture intrusion can compromise foundations over time.

Addressing the issue when symptoms first appear limits collateral damage and prevents escalating repair costs.

As part of our broader plumbing services, sewer line repair is handled by experienced technicians trained specifically in structural diagnosis and correction and not just surface-level clearing.

When the main line fails, the solution must be structural and permanent. Call the right team to help you keep your Colorado home’s sewers in working order.

I was very satisfied with the service I received from Dominic Holien. He hooked up the electrical supply to the new HVAC system. He pointed out that the breaker in the electrical box had a 30 amp breaker and the compressor also requires a 30 amp system. He installed a new lockout box for the compressor and rewired the new system. Thanks for a job well done, the system is working great.
