Arvada Electrical Installation

Whether it’s an addition, a garage workshop, or a new EV charger, new electrical work needs to be sized and installed correctly from the start. WireNut runs new circuits throughout Arvada with proper permits and inspections.

New Electrical Installation for Arvada Homes

New construction projects come up constantly in Arvada, from finishing a basement near Lake Arbor to adding a workshop circuit in a Westbury garage to wiring a new build out near Candelas. Each situation calls for a circuit sized correctly for its actual load, run through walls or ceilings without damaging finished space, and tied back to a panel that has the capacity to support it. In older parts of Arvada, that last part matters most: a 100-amp panel from the 1960s or 70s may not have room for a new 240-volt circuit without some rebalancing first.

WireNut evaluates panel capacity before quoting any new circuit, so you’re not surprised by a panel upgrade requirement partway through the job. If your panel does need attention, our electrical panel team can handle it as part of the same project. For homes that need a broader rewire rather than a single new circuit, see our electrical wiring page.

Electrical Installation Projects WireNut Handles in Arvada

  • EV charger circuits, sized correctly for Level 2 charging and checked against available panel capacity.
  • Basement finish wiring for new living space, common throughout Lake Arbor and Ralston Valley.
  • Garage and workshop circuits for tools, compressors, or dedicated 240-volt equipment.
  • Hot tub and spa circuits, installed with the correct disconnect and GFCI protection.
  • New construction wiring for additions and full builds in newer Arvada developments.

Here’s what comes up most often when Arvada homeowners need new electrical work.

Does My Arvada Home Have Enough Panel Capacity for a New Circuit?

It depends on the panel’s rated capacity and what’s already running on it. A lot of homes in West Woods and Westbury were built with 100-amp service, which was standard in the 1960s and 70s but leaves little room for a big new addition like an EV charger or a hot tub once central air and modern appliances are already accounted for. Newer homes near Candelas typically have 200-amp service with more headroom built in.

WireNut calculates your actual load before quoting a new circuit, so you know upfront whether your panel can handle it or whether an upgrade needs to happen first. We’d rather tell you that at the estimate stage than mid-project.

Do I Need a Permit for New Electrical Work in Arvada?

Yes, in most cases. New circuits, especially anything involving a 240-volt appliance, an addition, or a finished basement, need a permit through Jefferson County or the City of Arvada depending on your address. Skipping the permit can create real problems later, including issues at resale if the work isn’t documented and inspected.

WireNut pulls the necessary permits and schedules inspections as part of the job, so you don’t have to navigate that process yourself.

The technicians provided outstanding service, conducting a thorough evaluation of the HVAC system and identifying the components that required repair or adjustment. Their work noticeably improved the system’s overall efficiency and performance, reflecting both strong technical skill and careful attention to detail. Throughout the process, they demonstrated professionalism, clear communication, and a commitment to ensuring the system operated at its best. The cost for the assessment and repairs was very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the work performed and the improved functionality achieved.

Excellent company.  I highly recommend them.  I've had two service calls from this company, one for electrical, and the second for a sewer line repair.  At both service calls, the technicians were courteous and thorough.  During the first service call, the electrician worked diligently for hours troubleshooting an issue with a circuit in my electrical panel.  He discovered the problem and promptly remedied it.  During the second service call for a broken sewer line, the technicians removed the broken section of sewer line, then expertly fabricated and joined a new section to the existing sewer line.  However, during the digging process, the excavator required to reach the sewer line was a little too heavy for my driveway and subsequently cracked a few sections.  This company stepped up and completely replaced the broken squares at absolutely no cost to me.  Great company.

We had a problem associated with a GFI. The technician did a thorough inspection, including at the electrical panels. He showed us the darked area in the night light component where it had shorted. He recommended we replace that light and to have him replace the GFI outlet. Quick and easy. He was very friendly and courteous, and cleaned the area next to the outlet after he was done.
