Aurora Electrical Installation

Whether it’s a kitchen remodel, a new outbuilding, or a full new-construction rough-in, new electrical work needs to be planned and installed correctly the first time. WireNut’s licensed electricians handle electrical installation for homes throughout Aurora, from Original Aurora remodels to new builds in Painted Prairie.

Electrical Installation for Aurora Homes and Remodels

New electrical installation covers a lot of ground, from adding a single new circuit for a hot tub or workshop to running an entire home’s wiring for new construction near Southshore and the Aurora Highlands. Each of these calls for correct load calculations and the right permits before the first wire ever gets pulled.

For older Aurora properties, new installation work often overlaps with what’s already in the walls; if we find aging electrical wiring or an undersized electrical panel while running a new circuit, we’ll flag it honestly rather than working around a problem that’ll resurface later.

What Aurora Electrical Installation Covers

  • New circuit installation: for hot tubs, workshops, EV-ready garages, and major appliances
  • Remodel wiring: kitchen, bathroom, and basement finish projects
  • New construction rough-in: full wiring for new builds and additions
  • Load calculations: confirming your panel can safely support the new circuit
  • Permitting: pulling the correct permit for your specific Aurora jurisdiction

Here’s what our electricians typically handle on new installation projects in Aurora.

Do I Need a Permit for New Electrical Installation in Aurora?

Almost always, yes. New circuits and any work that changes your home’s electrical system typically require a permit and inspection, and since Aurora spans Arapahoe, Adams, and Douglas counties, the correct office depends on your specific address. We handle that part so your project passes inspection cleanly.

Can My Existing Panel Handle a New Circuit?

It depends on the panel’s age and how much capacity is already in use. Many of Aurora’s older 60 or 100 amp panels have little room left for a new major circuit, while newer 200 amp panels usually have plenty of headroom. We run the numbers before starting any installation.

What’s the Difference Between a New Circuit and a Sub-Panel?

A new circuit adds a single dedicated line from your existing panel for a specific use, like a hot tub or workshop. A sub-panel is a smaller secondary panel that branches off your main one, often used for detached structures or additions that need several new circuits at once.

I have used WireNut several times for a variety of services, from checking plumbing lines to HVAC tune-ups and electrical work. No matter who they send or who I speak with over the phone, I’m always impressed by their professionalism and genuine family-oriented approach.

I had the privilege of working with Frankie today, and let me just say—what a great guy! He was easy to talk to, took the time to explain everything thoroughly, and was incredibly personable. He’s exactly the kind of person you want representing your company.

The same goes for everyone I’ve spoken with over the phone. Dawn, Jason, and the entire staff have consistently been friendly, professional, and a pleasure to work with.

Thank you all for providing such outstanding customer service. It’s rare to find a company that delivers not only quality work but also makes every interaction feel personal. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend WireNut to anyone looking for honest, professional, and caring service.

I had the pleasure of having WireNut help me with my serious plumbing problem. I had seen a sign somewhere that said they do plumbing - they have a good reputation - so I called. I had the pleasure of working with Frankie Vargas. He’s a gem and he went the distance to really ensure what was wrong and how to fix the problem. He explained the fix to me as it was complicated. But I understood. He was careful to explain options which they may be required to do if there were further complications and let’s face the truth, there can be complications. But he assured me and he was good to his Word, that they would explain the process along the way and even show me with the camera exactly what was going on. A few days passed and I was scheduled for service which required an inspection and a schedule with the local municipality - which delayed WireNut. But WireNut prevailed and the work began. The technicians sent were gentlemen and very sensitive to cleanliness - you know, keeping their work area clean and tidy while doing some difficult work. Those gentlemen Joseph Ellerd and Chris Beatty worked as a team. They were efficient and clever in their work which I watched much of the time. They maintained decorum in their language and in their respectful conduct. They were a real pleasure to know and like Frankie Vargas, they kept me apprised all along the way. I expect because of this consistent experience with WireNut plumbing department, that you too will find your experience more than completely satisfactory! It was certainly 5 Star and above!
