Pueblo Tankless Water Heater Installation & Service

Tankless water heaters are a particularly smart choice in Pueblo, where hard water from the Arkansas River watershed shortens tank heater life through scale buildup. WireNut installs and services tankless systems throughout Pueblo with proper sizing for your household’s needs.

Tankless Water Heater Services for Pueblo Homes

Tankless water heaters heat water on demand rather than maintaining a tank of hot water at temperature around the clock. In Pueblo, they solve a specific problem: the hard water from the Arkansas River watershed deposits mineral scale inside tank water heaters that reduces efficiency and shortens equipment life. A tankless system eliminates that particular maintenance burden while also providing unlimited hot water on demand and reducing the standby heat loss that tank systems generate continuously. WireNut installs gas and electric tankless systems in Pueblo homes with proper sizing, gas line assessment, and venting for each specific installation.

For traditional tank water heater repair or replacement, our water heater repair and water heater replacement services cover that. For a full overview of water heater options, see our water heaters page. See the full Pueblo plumbing services page for everything we offer.

What to Know About Tankless Water Heaters in Pueblo

  • Proper sizing is critical for Pueblo homes because altitude affects gas combustion efficiency and flow rate requirements vary significantly by household size and simultaneous demand.
  • Gas-fired tankless units in Pueblo typically require a larger gas line than a traditional tank heater, since they draw more gas when firing. WireNut assesses your existing gas line as part of every tankless installation.
  • Hard water from the Arkansas River watershed can affect tankless units through scale buildup on the heat exchanger, making annual descaling an important maintenance step for Pueblo installations.
  • Electric tankless units require significant electrical capacity, often 150 to 200 amps of dedicated service, which many Pueblo homes with 100-amp panels cannot support without a service upgrade.
  • Proper venting for gas-fired tankless units in Pueblo requires either a direct vent to the exterior or a power vent system, and the venting configuration affects installation complexity and cost.

Here is what matters most when considering a tankless water heater for your Pueblo home.

WireNut assesses your Pueblo home’s gas line, electrical capacity, and hot water demand before recommending a specific tankless system. We install it correctly the first time so it performs the way it is supposed to from day one.

After one good experience with a plumber, we TRIED to use WIRENUT electricians to do dimmers. They scheduled and CANCELED 5 times in a row for various bogus reasons, often giving only a few minutes notice. That is totally unacceptable.
(I’m now waiting for a refund for some dimmers they have that we bought and they took.)
