Proudly Serving Residents in Briargate

Briargate sits on the north side of Colorado Springs, stretching from Briargate Boulevard up toward the Air Force Academy and out past Powers Boulevard into newer growth like Cordera and Wolf Ranch. The area was still mostly open land into the 1970s, and it wasn’t formally annexed into Colorado Springs until 1982. What followed was decades of steady building, from the split-level and tri-level homes of the 1980s boom through today’s master-planned sections, giving Briargate one of the widest ranges of home ages and electrical, HVAC, and plumbing setups anywhere in the city.

WireNut Home Services has been keeping Briargate homes running smoothly through all of it. Whether it’s an older home near Chapel Hills that’s due for a panel upgrade, a growing family near the Promenade Shops dealing with an aging furnace, or a newer build out toward Cordera with its first plumbing hiccup, our licensed electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians know this part of town. Same-day appointments, upfront pricing, and no surprises when we show up at your door.

Electrical Services in Briargate

Briargate’s mix of 1980s tri-levels and newer construction means electrical needs vary block to block. Older sections often carry original panels that are due for a look, while newer neighborhoods lean on us for smart home wiring and outdoor lighting. Our licensed electricians handle it all with the same upfront pricing and same-day availability.

From the older neighborhoods near Academy Boulevard to the newest builds by Cordera, our Briargate electricians show up ready to solve the problem, not just estimate it.

HVAC Services in Briargate

Sitting at roughly 6,700 feet, Briargate homes ask more of a furnace and air conditioner than homes at lower elevation. We size and service HVAC systems specifically for that altitude, keeping Briargate comfortable through hot summers and cold Front Range winters alike.

Whatever the elevation throws at your system, our Briargate HVAC technicians keep it running right.

Plumbing Services in Briargate

Briargate’s older sections started out on wells and septic before the area was annexed in 1982, and some of that legacy plumbing is still working its way through the neighborhood today. Our plumbers know the difference between a quick fix and a system that’s finally due for an upgrade.

From legacy well-era plumbing to the newest builds in Cordera and Wolf Ranch, our Briargate plumbers keep water moving where it should.

Local Considerations for Briargate Homeowners

Elevation and Front Range Climate

At around 6,700 feet, Briargate sits noticeably higher than downtown Colorado Springs, though still below Monument and Black Forest to the north. That elevation means thinner air for combustion appliances and less margin for an undersized air conditioner on a hot afternoon. We size every furnace and AC replacement for Briargate’s specific altitude rather than a generic sea-level rating, so the system actually performs the way the spec sheet promises.

Construction Era and HOA Structure

Briargate isn’t governed by a single HOA. It’s a patchwork of individual associations, from established 1980s subdivisions to newer communities like Cordera and Pine Creek, each with its own architectural review process for anything from exterior electrical additions to generator placement. Homes from the original 1980s boom often still carry their original panels and may be due for an upgrade, while newer sections built in the 2000s and beyond have modern wiring but different HOA rules around fixtures and outdoor equipment. We check the applicable HOA guidelines before any exterior work goes in.

Water Source and Plumbing Age

Before Briargate’s 1982 annexation, many of the earliest homes here relied on private wells and septic systems rather than city water and sewer. Decades later, some of those original supply lines and fixtures are still in service, even in homes long since connected to Colorado Springs Utilities. That legacy plumbing, combined with the area’s mineral-rich Front Range water, is why we pay close attention to pipe condition and water heater age on every Briargate service call, not just the fixture that’s currently giving trouble.

Cannan and Ian were both concerned about making sure I understood the process they were involved in and answered any questions and concerns I had on both days they were here. There was some miscommunication that involved the last day of installation and they both made sure that my HVAC was installed and running before they left that night. That had been their promise to me and they came through!

Good reliable service and knowledgeable technicians. I was apprehensive at first as I thought they would charge a lot more for certain things, but I’ve used them twice already and I think their prices are fair and reasonable.
Thank you Wire Nut

So far so good! Really looking forward to working with them for new AC unit and furnace and tankless hot water heater..I'll add more to my review when the job is done..ps they caught that my house under from 16 years ago isn't up to code, so they are fixing that too. Tankless hot water heater went in today and it's great..they were VERY qualified and knowledgeable about all aspects of the job. The entire crew were pleasant and courteous. I really appreciate the work so far! I'm looking forward to having the AC, furnace combo up n running on Wednesday of next week. And I will review it then. I would have them in my house any time.
