You open your laptop and expect an instant connection to the internet. You hit “send” on a text and expect it to arrive immediately. You push the “on” button of your TV remote and expect to be watching your favorite show within seconds. So why does it take a quarter of an hour for your faucet to produce hot water?

As a person living in the digital age, you are accustomed to fast results. And we don’t blame you. Your devices rarely disappoint, so why can’t the rest of your home keep up?

Fortunately, an outdated plumbing system doesn’t have to stay outdated. If you want instant access to hot water, all you have to do is call WireNut Home Services of Colorado Springs, CO.

We have over 15 years of experience, employ licensed technicians, and perform quality work every time. Our instant hot water installations are no exception.

Discover All the Advantages of Instant Water Heating

Are you asking yourself, “How do I get instant hot water?” Rest assured that instant hot water is not a pipe dream. It’s been a reality for luxury hotels and restaurants for years. Now, homeowners are getting in on the action.

We can give you consistent and instant access to hot water. All it takes is the addition of a hot water recirculation pump. Keep reading to learn more about the many advantages of this device.

Instant Hot Water

Imagine you have just arrived home after a long day on your feet and because you live in Colorado Springs, CO, the temperatures outside could be well below freezing. You want nothing more than to relax in a nice, warm bubble bath.

Should you have to spend the next 15 minutes running the tap before the water is comfortable? No!

Typical water heaters take as long as 30 to 40 minutes to fully heat a home’s water. In our opinion, that is far too long to wait. With a hot water recirculation pump, you can expect warm water out of the faucet immediately. The only question will be how fast you can get out of your day clothes and into the tub.

Reduced Water Costs

Since you won’t be running (and wasting) your water as you wait for it to heat up, you can expect reduced utility bills from the start. Plus, as the name of the recirculation pump implies, the hot water that runs through your pipes will return to the tank if it’s not used.

Some sources suggest that a homeowner can save over 10,000 gallons of water each year with this device. That’s 30 gallons a day!

Reduced Gas Heating Costs

Are you wondering, “how do I get instant hot water without breaking the bank?” Don’t worry. Although the installation will cost you upfront, it can save you money down the road.

Believe it or not, instant water heating requires less power than traditional systems. In fact, this method is the market’s most energy-efficient option for heating water. Give us a call to learn more about how instant hot water installation can lower your energy bill.

How a Hot Water Recirculation Pump Works

Instant hot water for kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms is the goal. But how exactly do these systems work? When WireNut Home Services installs a hot water recirculation pump, there are three system types to choose from:

  • Full water recirculation pumps
  • Partial water recirculation pumps
  • Under-sink water recirculation pumps

Here is a quick breakdown of how those system types differ:

  • Partial pumps use the cold water line as a temporary return line to push hot water back into the tank
  • Full pumps have their own dedicated return line
  • Under-sink pumps only supply instant hot water in the area between the water heater and the installation sink.

Each system type works in tandem with a sensor valve. This valve will open or close depending on the temperature of the water.

Additionally, each system has the option of being placed on a timer. So if you don’t need hot water during certain hours of the day, you can further conserve energy by turning the pump off during those hours.

Your Hot Water Heater installation Done Right!

Signs that your water heater may need repair or replacement
  • When there is water around the water heater area, this may suggest a leak.
  • Water is not the same temperature or does not stay hot as long as in previous experience.
  • Water quality issues, such as rust or sediment in hot water, water heater heats up more often, suggesting degradation of insulation or a pressure leak.
Repair instead of Replace

If a water heater unit is properly maintained by service professionals, it can last a decade or more. A water heater is a significant investment for your home, and repairs can often save you hundreds of dollars in the long term. Issues where repair service is beneficial over a complete replacement to include replacement of external piping, repairs of electrical thermostats and sensors, repair of minor external damage, and replacement of filters and sensors in the natural gas and carbon monoxide sections accessible for service.

When Should My Water Heater Be Replaced

Water heater replacement is suggested when a unit is deemed non-repairable, or the request is made by the client to have their water heater replaced. A water heater has a typical service life of ten to fifteen years, so if your water heater is approaching that age, begin looking at replacing your unit instead of having it serviced.

Why should I not repair/replace myself??

It is highly recommended to use a professional service such as WireNut Home Services for any issues with your water heater.

Why has my water heater repaired instead of replaced?

When to have my water heater replaced?

Installation of a tankless water heater system may seem straightforward and easy, yet it deals with electricity, natural gas, carbon monoxide, and high pressure, and should always be installed by a certified installation professional. A typical installation scenario involves the removal of your old water heater tank, installation of the new tankless water heater, and testing of the unit. In terms of time, two to four hours depending on removal of the old tank, layout of the home, installation and setup of the tankless water heater solution you decide upon, and testing is a common average.
